Abrams ComicArts is assembling a beautiful, very special 10th anniversary edition of The Best We Could Do, out next year! I am creating some new material for the book, and I want to invite readers to be part of it.

Did The Best We Could Do have special meaning for you? What was your reaction the first time you read it? Do you have a story you’d like to share in which the book played a big part?

I don’t know yet what the final version of these reader testimonials will look like (it depends on what you send me!) but here is an excerpt of the extra material I added to the paperback edition, in which I convinced Viet Thanh Nguyen, whom I admire for his writing and advocacy as well as his impeccable hair, to divulge his hair routine.
